With 54 truck doors and 22 railcar spots, your valuable cargo coming into our Taylor Way facility will zip past bottlenecks that might choke a smaller warehouse. Custom-built by MacMillan-Piper in 1994 and conveniently located near the busy Port of Tacoma docks, this 100,000 square foot warehouse can handle just about any of your shipping needs. Crews efficiently load paper and kraft linerboard using fork lifts with state of the art paper clamps, while others transload refrigerated products, board, bags, lumber, and bentonite clay. In addition, MacMillan-Piper runs its own fleet of modern trucks, including super chassis.
The Taylor Way Facility also has a covered bulk loading facility able to handle 7 hopper cars. The drag conveyor/auger system allows us to efficiently transfer such products as corn gluten, specialty grains, and peas. Taylor Way is served by Tacoma Rail which ensures prompt handling of railcars in the Tacoma Tideflats. Being served by Tacoma Rail enables MP to receive cargo carried by the BNSF or UPRR, eliminating additional switching charges to our customers.
